Caspar ~ Community Center Caspar Scales

This mountain bike race is the second in the Caspar Cup Series, following Labor Day Weekend’s Caspar Classic Mountain Bike Race.  This is a fun and challenging course that will test everyone's abilities from beginner to expert alike.  Choose one or two laps on the 10-mile Classic course.  Winners take home custom-made trophies, with Series winners taking home the Caspar Cup!

Pro = 3 laps (30 miles)  ~ not UCI; no cash prize

Elite & SuperSport = 2 laps (20 miles)

Veteran, Sport, Junior = 1 lap (10 miles)

Sunday, October 9th   7am (full metric), 8am (half metric)

Caspar ~ Community Center

Ride a Half- or Full-Century (35+/- or 62+/- miles), with 5K’ to 11K’ elevation pain (oops) gains. Enjoy the endless small and large loops deep in the redwoods, soaring ridges, dark cool creeks. Fully supported with SAG wagons and aid stations, as well as a high-protein post-ride meal at the Caspar Community Center.

Friday, October 7th    430pm

Fort Bragg ~ Town Hall

Begin the weekend with a family fun ride on the MacKerricher State Park Haul Road along the Pacific Ocean. Collect poker cards at stops along the historic Haul Road and return to Town Hall to reveal who has the winning hand. We'll be showing short cycling videos and have raffle prizes.  ~ for all ages and all tires (skinny or fat).

4, 8, or 12 miles

update Monday, October 3rd:

Due to complications from the apprehension of murder suspect Aaron Bassler, we have cancelled the Mendocino Mountain Metric Century.

The Headlands Poker Ride and Jughandle Juggernaut race on Friday and Saturday are still on.

The Jughandle Juggernaut’s festivities will be shifted from the Caspar Community Center to the Caspar Scales.  

We are in the process of refunding fees for riders entered in the Mendocino Mountain Metric.  If you are registered in the Poker Ride and/or Jughandle Juggernaut and no longer wish to participate, please email  us at MendoFTF@mcn.org.
